Being driven around KL

I followed my dad around kl today. Finally after about 2 months I've started taking real photos!! woohooo!! Loving it! :D It's a bit hard still but I'm not complaining. So I finally was able to test out what my 55-200mm was capable of. I bought it in July after the accident so I never really had the chance to try it out. Now that I have, this piece of glass is terrific! :) It opened a whole new world for me, composition wise. I get to be a lot more organic with my shots.

I'm looking forward to more great shots with this lens. :) here are my faves of the set.





Tomorrow my brother and his dudes have a casting session for a TVC. Shouldn't be a problem getting it. They're very good. :)

Yep. i've got nothing to say except that it's definitely gonna leave a mark. haha! but seriously. It's damn big! my pretty arm is pretty no more. :( my poor arm.

but at least it'll look cool when it's properly healed tho. I hope. XD

Don't rain on me!

Yes. Another day in front of the pc. I'll take some decent photos soon. That's what I keep telling myself anyway. Haha!! So much to catch up on. So much time's a wasting. And there's not much I can do about it. And now it's starting to rain again. Just great.

I need to get out of this house!!

I just recovered from a nasty flu attack. Could also be that the panadols that I took earlier are in effect. :P So anyway, not much have changed in my daily routine. Much of the same. I'm trying real hard to get my arm back on track so I can get back to my usual activities. Mainly driving. Since I'm dying to meet up with that special someone. hehe!

I can't shift gears?? woot??

I tried playing the guitar and umm. well I could play it, in a sense. But it still hurts and my arm is in an awkward position when I play. Need to play more often I guess. But at least I know that my condition is improving. It's been less than two weeks since my surgery so I'm very optimistic.

Mum's car the old Merc is in the workshop getting a major makeover and servicing. Hopefully all that cash spent is gonna be worth it. Cuz I've got a lot of things that I could get with all that cash. :P

So the past few days I've been going thru my hard drive browsing my pics. And I just realised how many I have stuffed in my hard drive. My external 120GB Maxtor is already half full! noooo!! I might be getting myself one of the 500GB models sooner than I thought. arrggg!! So much to buy so little cash! I'm gonna play GTA4 for a bit and kill some civilians just for kicks. I think I'm gonna start shooting again tomorrow. My trigger finger is getting a little restless. :D

YESSS!!! a month without going out!!! Wooohh!!! I officially have no life. And I haven't shot anything worthy of uploading since forever. So I had to revert to foraging thru my old pics. And as I was browsing I decided to do a file count. And I have about 7k pictures in my external hard drive!! holy shit fucks!! How come I have so much? And my external hard drive has been reduced to 70GB out of the 111GB. Awesome!!

Okay so despite being a loser in front of the computer 24-7, I've managed to learn to buy stuff off the net! Woohooo!!! Now this may sound like nothing to you guys but for me it is a very exciting experience. I'm was online shopping virgin. But now that I had a taste of it, I want moreeeee!!! Spent 500 bucks shopping online since I broke my arm. I just got my new camera bag today. It's so pretty. And I'm pretty broke too. Oh well.

Hand/arm update. I am now able to type with both of my hands without any terrible pain. It's a bit melenguhkan and the odd sharp pain sometimes makes its way back but it's getting better!! Yayy!!! Lifting stuff, and opening door knobs still can't. :(

hello people. It's almost 2am and I can't sleep still. I just got myself an diffuser for SB-600 for Rm30 from some dude on LYN. Seems like a pretty nice guy, but couldn't stay and chat tho. My mum was driving cuz I still can't. It's pretty boring. I'm pretty much stuck at home until my brother comes back. Oh! and I just got myself a Lowepro Flipside 200 camera bag from yamiya. Should arrive by Wednesday. Costs me Rm300 and I am now officially broke.

On another note, I can use my left hand/arm. I'm typing with both hands now. Although it hurts a bit but nothing I can't handle. I just wanna get my x-ray and get this bandage out of the way. I wanna see the scar. Wonder how long it is. :P

I've been at home since I got back from the hospital but was too lazy to update anything. But now here I am! I couldn't sleep so I decided to give that diffuser a try. The results were great. I needed a higher output to get the same amount of light without it but it works and I love it. Sure beats wrestling a lightsphere on my flash anyday.

Alrighty.. my arm sudah lenguh. It's pretty weak. I got a lot of work ahead of me to get back in shape. The pain is what's stopping me really. That and my stitches and my unfused bone. haha!!

So yeah, the photos. I took some pretty weird shots of myself. Only 4 made it thru and only half of that made it to photoshop. and here they are :) be prepared to fall in love with me. I know I'm hot. and yes im talking about my pixie/elf/tooth-fairy hybrid photo. You know you want me. Don't fight it. Hahahaha!!

Shit this is actually starting to freak me out. haha!!

The Fugitive (part ii)

So my operation was cancelled again last night and today. I had a very bad fever yesterday, and the doctor suspected me of having denggue. Thank god it wasn't. Was something viral tho. My white blood count was up to 17 where a normal dude would have 11. So I'm guessing it was quite abnormal. And I was fasting for 24 hours straight while I was having the fever. Crazy doctors. At least kasik la aku makan hanjing kalau dah tau demam takleh wat operation!

So yea, you can see how the mentality of the doctors there. Pretty fucked up is the least of what I can say. So Thursday will be the last day I'm gonna be there regardless of whether I'm getting my surgery or not. If it's not done by then, I'm gonna get myself discharged and get my arm fixed somewhere else.

Oh yea! I ran away from the hospital again today. My mum was the accomplice haha! It's always good to be back home. Anyway, I had my brother snuck my camera in a few days ago and got these.

This is the hospitals' backyard. Not too shabby huh? helipad and evrything, too bad the service sucks tho.

I've seen these nurses pushing these tanks around but I dunno whats in them or whats it for.

Ah, the lively old teethless pakcik. This is the guy I mentioned from below. I hope he gets his leg fixed soon. kesian la this man.

Escape from hospital serdang

i escaped from the hospital today. weee. gonna stay at home til malam n then go back to the hell hole. ive been there for a week n these assholes keep postponing my effing surgery!!!!!

so to all, stay away from hospital serdang. im typing with one finger cuz i've got this stupid needle up the back of my hand. and its hurting me as im typing. so imma stop here n a photo for the masses. :)

Fuck Mortality

I got back from the hospital today. Just spending one night there was enough to bore me like crazy, and being surrounded by sick people doesn't really give you that morale boost. But it does make me think about my health in the future. Some of these guys can't even walk. It really took me back to reality.

The "atuk" who's in the bed next to mine, popped his hipbone from its joint after a fall. He's supposed to go thru surgery to get that fixed but he's got no money. The operation will cost him 5000 bucks. I pity the old man, but there's nothing I can really do.

The other guy next to the "atuk's" bed was an indian guy. He's a diabetic and his left foot is starting to rot. Alogside was his wife. She's been there since I was admitted and never left her husband. I guess love really exists..

And there's this 15 year old girl. Whom I found out much later just got the chance of getting on a weelchair after 4 months being bed-ridden. 4 FRICKIN' MONTHS!!! I only stayed for one day and here I am complaining. It's just insane. I've never really thought about this, about me being in the girl's shoes. She broke her thigh bone, fractured her knee and a lot of her thigh was scraped off when she got hit by a car while riding her motorbike. I don't think I can last that long. It'd drive me to the verge of insanity.

There are a whole bunch of other people with nasty injuries. Lotsa people with broken legs and diabetics in my ward. And one poor guy with a brace on his head. Being there I kinda felt that my broken arm wasn't all that bad compared to these people.

My surgery was postponed to monday. A bit of a slip up with the date of admitance and on weekends they only do surgery for emergency cases. So now here I am back at home waiting to be hauled back to the hospital to get through with this operation. The longer I wait the scarier it gets. So I just want this to be done with as soon as possible.

Went to watch the guys training today. The sun was hidden behind some clouds again and soon after behind the trees. The lighting there is pretty much an action photographer's with a cheap telephoto lens like mine's nightmare. But fuck that, I'll just have to make do. At least it sharpens my photoshop skills. :) I miss training....
